Happy International Earth Day!
Thirty-five years ago, this day was set aside as a time for dedication and commitment to the care of our planet, and as a time for thanksgiving and celebration.
Earth Day is a name used for two different observances, both held annually during spring in the northern hemisphere, and autumn in the southern hemisphere. These are intended to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's environment. The United Nations celebrates Earth Day, which was founded by John McConnell in 1969, each year on the March equinox, while a global observance originated by Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in, and since January 1970 also called Earth Day, is celebrated in many countries each year on April 22.
Last year i celebrated this event with pesha n ika.. we joined tv3 and volunteered to clean up zoo.. at first when pesha told me bout this event i was refuse to joined it. but in the end i just joined to accompany her. and, seriusly it was superb.. i learned a lot bout earth and animal.. and from that moment i used to appreciate my earth and also earth day celebration.
